More distressing than finding a hair in your food
The porno site I rely on for most of my soft core, porno (which wouldn't even be porno in Europe) hasn't updated its site today.
Rats.

Exactly my thought. How about changing the locks and telling them if they don't pay you $XXX (representing back rent, interest, costs and penalties per the lease) by 2:00 PM that day they will never see their stuff again? Not that I am endorsing that approach and of course, YMMV.

It goes beyond agreeing the buses should have been moved (that's a no-brainer) and simplifying the issue as you have is either being wilfully ignorant or disengenous. the broader issue is what is the role of the various governmental entities in ensuring disaster preparedness and response. My point has been that the responsibility primarily, up through post-levee breaking was the local authorities and their failure was paramount to the resultant death and human suffering. Ty says he expects the local government to be incompetent and the Fed must take primary responsibility for everything. Over the last three days a lot of interesting information that raises additional questions about the local response and responsibility have come out. I posted them and the response from a certain wing, is generally, so what where was FEMA. Ty continues to respond and say that might be troubling, I would like to know more. But on the Federal side, everyone knows enough know to indict.
The blame Bush message first and frequently on every issue is far more white noise than anything I posted related to nagin's faiulures. That white noise has been going on for 5 years.

On another note, is anyone watching Rome? I quite like it.

I have seen about two and a half episodes, and it's not bad. The only reason I have any idea who's who is because I just read "Rubicon," a good subway book about the last days of the Republic, Cato, Pompey & Co. Nice barroom brawl the other night.

Try that- spree- photos from 1850-1970s. Not work safe.
no sign of laser or waxing or trimming for that matter.
The caption contest is funny, sometimes.

the local government responsibility part was in my first post (and before you posted this response I had edited it back in to my attempted repost). I'm not going to debate you here on the points you raised about local government response. That belongs on PB if at all. And I don't think anyone, Ty included, is seriously debating whether there is responsibility to go around here. I am saying that the manner in which you post things directly detracts from people's willingness to read your content. I am not the first person to point this out to you. or even the first person today to point this out to you.
as to your blame Bush crap, need I remind you of your 10 to 15 thousand anti-Clinton posts? You are such a fucking hypocrite. It almost makes the effort of asking an admin to put you on ignore for me seem worthwhile.
Hopefully at some point you will start being amusing to me again. But that point will definitely not be today.

Seriously. This is not schtick.

I agree about the barroom brawl, but what was with the operation later? It's like you cut open some guy's head without any anasthetic, stick a metal plate in it, sleep for a few hours, wake up, put on a red bandanna, and you are a-ok?

My grandfather was an artist who frequently drew and sculpted nudes. He had a photo book around that was all nude women from the 1940s and 1950s. They were all done up with that old hair style and were typically oiled up with incredible bodies.
Got a lot of mileage out of that one.

I'm wearing caramel brown borgans today. They're sort of an Italianate style, you know, with a very thin sole and a lower vamp.
The problem is that they're Johnston & Murphy. They're handmade in Italy, but they're J&M branded. I thought the Made in Italy part would save them, but it doesn't.
They're not very comfortable. They are too narrow just below the arch, and the leather is not as soft and flexible as it should be in better Italian shoes.
I think that maybe I should replace them with a new pair. Allen-Edmonds has a lot of nice brogans in the caramel color, and they last like nobody's business. They even have some with a sleeker silhouette. But they don't have tha italian flair.
I saw a pair of Donald J. Pliner's that I like. But they cost over $700, and I just can't bring my self to pay tha much for a pair of shoes, especially ones that do equal duty as both dress and dress casual shoes.
Anyway, does Jimmy Choo make shoes for men? Manolo?
