My point has been that the responsibility primarily, up through post-levee breaking was the local authorities and their failure was paramount to the resultant death and human suffering. Ty says he expects the local government to be incompetent and the Fed must take primary responsibility for everything. Over the last three days a lot of interesting information that raises additional questions about the local response and responsibility have come out. I posted them and the response from a certain wing, is generally, so what where was FEMA. Ty continues to respond and say that might be troubling, I would like to know more. But on the Federal side, everyone knows enough know to indict.
The blame Bush message first and frequently on every issue is far more white noise than anything I posted related to nagin's faiulures. That white noise has been going on for 5 years.

I'm seriously considering packing up the plantation and moving somewhere I'd rather not live, but would have a great (read: easy) job, and not worry about money. I'm tired of being beholden to others. I don't want to be anyone's employee or fucking partner anymore.
I'm also learning the hardest truth - in this shithole city I've chosen, unless you grew up here, its next to impossible to get good business here (and even then, its all shit because there's no fucking money in this rust belt asshole of the universe). I realize now why my father called me an idiot and second-rater for coming here instead of working in NYC (in a non-law job).
Its too bad PA didn't flood instead. Those folks in NO look like decent people who didn't deserve it... Here, it'd be like that righteous rain "washing away the scum" the Clash sang about... A state full of degenerate union scum, corrupt shiftless professional politicians, professional litigants and general backward curs... all trying to suckle of the state teat in one fashion or another... destroying the margins out of any industry that gets near the place...
"Come to Pennsylvania! 10 millions scumbags fighting over the same dwindling pile of dirty bills. At least we're not Ohio!"

LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton is happy with tycoon fiance Paris Latsis, settling down to a quieter life and thinking about having a baby -- but first she wants a new $2 million engagement ring.
The hotel heiress told Vanity Fair magazine that she wants to have a baby within two years.
She should call Britney first and see how it's going. No more talk about pregnancy sex from her it seems.
But she was not happy with the engagement ring Kasidokostas gave her, so a new, 24-carat emerald-cut diamond ring estimated to cost $2 million has been ordered, Vanity Fair said.
“I like it,” Hilton said of the first ring, “but it’s yellow, and I’m like, I didn’t want yellow for my engagement ring.” Boo hoo.
Hilton is no longer as embarrassed as she once was by the sex tape made when she was 19 by then-boyfriend Rick Salomon. “I used to think it was so bad, but it’s like, everyone has sex. I’m sure everyone has filmed a tape,” she said. (Believe what you want, but that's not true.)
Hilton said the party life is no longer for her. “The nightclub scene is a very dark, bad scene,” she says. Kasidokostas “loves me and likes staying home with our dogs and me cooking.”
I can only imagine what she cooks. Lean Cuisine?

Welcome to four months ago.
Also, nice nose job. GOt rid of the hook.
Lastly, I think the male Paris is actually a gay.
And if Vanity Fair put her on its cover (I didint read your entire post bc I find Paris Hilton tobe tiresome and useless), I may have to retire to Yankee Magazine fulltime.

I'm thinking of starting a new magazine (since the offers for photogenic copy editors are not coming in fast and furious) called Connecticut Weekly. The first issue is going to be all about bats and driving habits of the denizens of the Constitution State (at least that's what the CT license plates herald).
There will also be some pictures.
I hope I can count on you as a subscriber. (Str8 will NOT be invited to participate until he cleans up his act.)

I forget exactly what it means, but it was used as her campaign slogan when she ran for the board top spot. Can you wait a few years for the detail?
