Jason Gore, the anti-Sergio

Ok, so when last we left off, I had lost a lot of money on Sergio Garcia when he choked his 6 stroke lead.

Redemption.

This week I put a $50 bet on Jason Gore after the first round, at 20-1 odds.

I am golf god.

There is no public drinking in Seattle. Unless you are caged like an animal in some Beer Garden. And no Jay Walking. I'm serious. Guys can sell heroin at the Pike Market, but god forbid they should jay walk. That would get them into trouble.
Why are women not allowed to sell heroin there?

Sexist fucks.

Last night on SportsCenter they said "you heard it here first - someone may win the NFC North this year with an 8-8 record." Problem is I heard that last week coming out of my very own mouth. I scooped SportsCenter.

Working on my alibi for cutting out of work for the 4:30 start of the Giants game today.
Nicely done. In my NFL death pool I don't try to find and bet on winners as much as I look to see who the losers are playing. I'd have a tough call if Houston plays Arizona, though. My goodness.

Heh. Apparently they were scooped by Phil Simms too, and you scooped Phil Simms, because he said the same thing toward the end of the Browns-Packers game, after stating that "No team made the playoffs last year after starting 0-2."

ESPN is a a meager shell of its former self.

One of the SeaGals looks a tiny bit like Brooke Burke.

When I first moved here our of respect for local tradition I didn't jaywalk. That too passed.

And hey, it was good seeing you yesterday and as promised I can vouch for your smolderingly alluring femaleness. I'm not sure about the hubby though.....(no offence)...honestly, you are really not on his payroll as a beard? NTTAWWT.

Sort of. They opened the roof and made us bake in 2000 degree temperature, which forced us all to drink a lot more alcohol than usual.

Thanks to that, and the desire to drown sorrows, beer sales were way up.

I had a wonderful time, thank you. The Bordeaux and Mimolette were fabulous.

The husband is not gay. Only the brother, a niece and a questionable uncle.

I thought the brother felt you up a lot?

Try this: Black Mountain. I don't know what to call it, but I like it.

So you're saying it's a choice, not genetic?

I think the reporter's skepticism is overblown. Though it's true that the number of kids actively keeping with the aftercare program isn't as high as it could be, other fat camps don't offer anything like it. And really, what more can be done other than to make the aftercare program available and as attractive as possible?

I think the reporter's problem is with the whole "not being fat = desirable" concept, and not with my brother (identified in the article only by his last name, which shows sloppy editing) and his camps and schools. Is it time for that FB perennial to pop up again? If so, let me go on record as saying that being obese is bad, and slimming down to a healthier weight, even if you have to pay companies large sums of money to help you do it, is something that should be applauded, not scorned.

By the way, after the recent Dateline NBC piece on the school, they're now full, and considering opening up a second school in the southeast.

The Redwalls

I forgot until now to let Sebby know about my Redwalls concert experience. First off, I enjoyed the CD. More poppy than I expected based on the fact that Sebby recommended it. But I like the clear Beatles and Bowie influences. I can hear the Crowes thing on a few tracks too.

So I saw them in concert on Friday night. The front three are each approximately 4'5". None of them could have been more than 90 pounds. The drummer is a giant (or appears to be a giant compared to the gnomes fronting the group). In light of the size discrepancy, the drummer was force to remain seated at all times during the show. I kept expecting the next song to be Christmas Time of some other Chipmunks selection, but it was not to be.

Musically, their show was tight. But, call me a heightest fuck if you like, it was really hard to believe that their voices came out of those little munchkin bodies.

I assume once they hit puberty, they'll have growth spurts.
Glad you liked them. They're poppy sounding, but the lyrics are anything but. They kind of work the Lennon “Working Class Hero” trick - innocent sounding soft melody with really angry lyrics making fun of the subject most listeners will assume - or hope - he's lauding. I’d like to see them play with the Crowes. You’d get some great Beatles tune encores. The Robinsons arrogant enought o try to pull off Tomorrow Never Knows and the Redwalls' singer is perfect for it.

The singer for the Redwalls has some pipes, doesn’t he?
