There was one episode as you describe. It was an entirely straight ahead Sealab 2020 from 1972, except at the end Sealab blows up when the submarine it spent the entire episode rescuing plows into it. Not particularly worthwhile as punchlines go, as you discovered.

I don't how how this happened a second time. Perhaps your Cumiden dose is affecting memory. Perhaps you consider the thought of putting your brain into an Adrienne Barbot-bot "completely straight," or you really do like your steak covered in slut sauce.

For anyone who can establish otherwise, here's a prize -- THE Clark bar from the movie, "Looking For Mister Clark Bar".

And it goes another step (sometimes) in the case of the women. When other women find out that the hot woman they don't know is cool and can discuss sports or doesn't have to worry about how little she'll have to eat and how much she'll have to work out over the next 3 weeks if she has a cheeseburger and a few beers, they really fucking hate her. Especially if guys like to hang around her. At that point, it doesn't matter how nice she is. She is labelled as the woman who markets herself exclusively to guys and can't buy a female friend (unless she finds another woman who has the same skills).

While there are women who are total bitches to other women but are sweet as candy to men, we're not fooled by it. We just don't care.

TM
As to the first para, I disagree. Most men I know will try like hell to talk to a really hot chick and only think her a bitch after she rebuffs them.

As to the second para, hot chicks are held to an unfairly high standard. Where an average person is deemed shy or aloof, they are deemed stuck up or snotty.

As to para three, that might as well be a law of gravity. We can spot chicks who only act nice to guys, and usually they crave male attention and tend to be easier than their more secure counterparts. We know they're bags of cats, but fuck it... so are most people when you get right down to it. You'll be annoyed about some element of whomever you fuck, so if the sole detractor on a chick you're eyeing is that she doesn't get along with the other hens, hey, that's not a dealbreaker at all.

I always find it funny when people presume men are entirely led around by their dicks. You do realize that even in the throes of anaimal drunken lusting, the lights are still on upstairs. Just keep it in mind. We engage in more high risk behavior than you, but that doesn't mean we're apes...

Those are hardly absolutes. The first sentence is clearly a throwaway (although, I'd be surprised if you did know any hot women). "It happens all the time" isn't an absolute at all.

Saying you, personally don't know any nonbitchy hot women who want, but don't have any women friends is silly. How many nonbitchy hot women do you actually know? Hell, how many bitchy hot women do you actually know? (And please concentrate on the word "actually" in your response.)

1) Whiff - read SS's post carefully, and assume he did not make a typo.

2) Yes, there was more than one. The Rembrandts were a semi-obscure, semi-alternative band that were actually pretty decent. Kind of like Toad The Wet Sprocket, the Gin Blossomsm or Crowded House. I have their first album somewhere, and it's not bad.

FWIW, I thought the final episode of Friends pretty muched sucked. Of course, I felt this way about most of the series, so this is little surprise.

"Can I tell you something honestly?" Jon Stewart said on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" on Thursday. "I never watched that show — and I'm sick of it."

This is why Jon Stewart is man-crushable.

I had a dentist appointment this morning, so I haven't tried yet. Is it true that food no longer tastes good?

Not entirely by your dicks. In addition to sex, as a group, you also like sports and drinking and eating.
