Depends, what type of certification do you need? It was a mass ceremony, but I have proof I was there. Written documents and photographs.

I don't think there are any references to letters, other than their use to make up words. The website has a lot of pages though and I am not inclined to read every one.

Your First Amendment rights have been reinstated.

Judge ends 17-year ban on new strip clubs
Seattle moratorium ruled an unconstitutional restraint on free speech.

SEATTLE - The city’s 17-year moratorium on new strip clubs is an unconstitutional restraint on free speech and can no longer be enforced, a judge has ruled.

U.S. District Judge James L. Robart ruled Monday that the city’s rationale for repeatedly extending the ban lacked merit.

The city had argued that the case was not a censorship issue, but that it was waiting for the state and county to adopt new cabaret regulations. It first imposed a temporary moratorium on new adult cabarets in 1988, after the number of strip clubs in Seattle jumped from two to seven (oohhh, jumped clear to 7) over two years.

Still, if the City Council votes next week to adopt a rule banning lap dances, few new strip clubs may open in Seattle anyway. The panel is expected to vote on Mayor Greg Nickels’ proposal requiring exotic dancers to remain 4 feet from their clients.

The plan has drawn protests from the city’s club owners and exotic dancers, who fear it will severely cut into their business.
You think? 4 feet? That's like at Papa Bear's where the guys dance behind the velvet rope. 4 feet seems ridiculous.

I have had the distinct displeasure to meet many of the current City Council members. They can't gin up three digits worth of IQ is they combine what each of them has and doubles it. I would Nagin and Blanco 100 times out of 100 before I would these mental midgets.

That said, I think the continued clean up and gentrification of the first avenue corridor is a good thing. I wish market forces could dislodge the lusty lady and the Vu, notwithstanding my love of the porno. Lake Forest Park or Sea Tac is not that far of a drive.

eta: Nickels has really beefed up since he took office. in a bad way.

It would be one thing if we were talking decent strip clubs. But the Vu is a huge rip-off, and I've never really understood the whole Lusty Lady "strippers under glass" concept.

Just drive to Portland, land of a thousand strip clubs. Most of them suck, but at least you can get a beer.

Then there's always Tacoma.

What? And give up "America's City?"
Or how about "Tacoma, at least you can get a lap dance."
