Best reality show on tv.
The girl on the left is a midget. I hope she's bitchy too. (Although how many bitchy midgets has anyone run into?)

I have to take issue with your italian approach to hyphenation. Perhaps I should take issue on the timmy board, but . . . there is no need for a hyphen because there is no possibility of confusion. Well is an adverb modifying oiled. Ordinarily adverb-adjective combinations are not linked by a hyphen (e.g., finely tuned machine), except where necessary to avoid confusion. Here there is no possiblity of confusion. Is a well oiling the machine? If it were, is the hyphen necessary to distinguish it from, say, a can-oiled machine, or a pump-oiled machine? I think not.
|
*Sigh*. No, no, no.
Finely tuned machine has no hyphen because the adverb is one that ends in "ly". Some newfangled non-sticklers take the view that there is no hyphen necessary in the adverb-adjective combination unless there is a chance for confusion. I am not one of them.
So, I take issue with your characterization that "ordinarily[,] adverb-adjective combinations are not linked by a hyphen..." because it is plainly not the case. In fact, it's renegades like you that are ruining this country. RUINING!!
The only time when such a combination does not require a hyphen (other than the adverb-ending-in-"ly" situation) is when the combination follows the word it modifies. (Hence my "correctamundo" comment to RP.)
Sheesh.

Parents, beware of “Shrek 2.” The hit animated film has subversive “transgender” messages, according to a conservative watchdog group. “Parents who are thinking about taking their children to see ‘Shrek 2,’ may wish to consider the following: The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender,” cautions the Traditional Values Coalition. “The character has five o’clock shadow, wears a dress and has female breasts. It is clear that he is a she-male.

You do realize that once Atticus gets back from the bathroom, he will post something like " the Traditional values Coalition is expected to give a warning re. reading nfh's posts for similar reasons later this week."
Just be ready.

Whatever. He lives and/or works in SF. If those people want to see real transgendered all they have to do is go to a restaurant. Or walk down the street. I wonder if the TVC ever comes here and if they have to cover their eyes? Oh yes, in today's Chronicle - the Scientologists are pushing their agenda on third graders by giving Narconon messages and classes that push their agenda. Funny, I didn't know that L. Ron started the narconon. Not until today at least.

We were terribly different, though. We were the "Internet not dating, but Less promises to futiley try to bang Barely all the way around the world, couple." Thus, we can still be uber-hot.

That would have been some good tv. I guess I should have tried to look shorter in the video. No way we could have lost as imaginary internet dwarf friends.
