I thought it was Divination class where they got high from the "incense" burning.

My Book 1-6 re-read thoughts

Do you suppose Dumbledore had Snape make an unbreakable vow and that's why he trusted him?

If love doesn't have a major impact on the final outcome, Rowling wasted a lot of words on it in the last 2 books. I'm guessing someone will die to protect someone he or she loves from Voldemort. I'm also leaning toward it being Harry and that his sacrifice will end up killing Voldemort like it would have when he killed the Potters if he didn't ahve the Horcruxes but I can't decide who the protectee will be.

Is RAB who took the real locket Regulus Black?? Is he known to be dead or just assumed dead?

I had big plans to get things done in the yard tomorrow but am doubtful that will actually happen once I get my hands on the book.

Grrr

As my "day of release" copy via Amazon was accidentally sent to my "no one in the mailroom on a Saturday" office - I just walked down to the Fishermans Wharf B&N to pick up a copy.

Page 1: "The two men appeared out of nowhere...."

And now 27 more hours of reading. See ya..

PS - to justify the trip, I also picked up a Hawai'i travel book.

Wow

No spoilers here but that was a really good read. I have a huge headache like a reading (and crying -- I am such a sap) hangover.

I finished a few hours ago. It was pretty damned impressive.

Thank you for that. My guanteed first day delivery arrived sometime after 9:30 - when I went out for drinks. It was here upon my arrival home. I have the rest of the weekend to read before it is hallway fodder.

Yup--a three-hankie climax.

And the last word was not "scar."

Sort of spoiler

I guessed a big piece of the puzzle (and I think I posted it at the end of 6), but I thought when JKR was asked whether the solution was part of the answer she said no!

I enjoyed it quite a lot

I noticed that too. I'm a bit overwhelmed right now. Took me 2 days to read it, what with caring for a toddler and going to see Order of the Phoenix on Saturday. If you have it in your area, the 3D Imax version is pretty darn cool. The entire hall of mysteries/Weasleys telling Umbridge to piss off sequence is in 3D.

I went back to that thread and have to give props to spookyfish for noticing something that completely blew past me when I read the earlier books but ended up being a big plot point.

I also give props to RT's friend mircala for her predictive analysis.
