Yes. That was in the same general area. Maybe road rage is bad in Santa Clara? That guy got 3 years. I hope this guy gets 3 years and an ass whooping.

One of our neighbors is a former court reporter and she told me about a guy who video taped himself killing a cat. She said the video was so grizzly that she couldn't watch it. That guy also got 3 years.

It takes a really disturbed mind to do something like that.

Update...
A tip line has been created and more than $8,500 in reward money has been raised for information leading to the arrest of the man responsible for slaughtering 10 ducks at a popular Campbell car wash on Aug. 5.

The license appears to be a California vanity plate with four characters, a space, and two more characters, Patterson said.

The car appears to be a late '80s or early '90s red two-door Acura Integra, or something similar. A small, rectangular sticker was visible on the bottom left corner of the rear window.

The driver appears to be in his late teens or early 20s, with short, dark brown hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Well, to be fair, the duck is generally dead before he gets to it. He doesn't have anything to do with the duck's demise, just the retrieval of the corpse.

One of the worst things I've ever seen in my life was a bunch of kids outside a fireman's hall during some sort of feast (or, now that I'm thinking about it, it could have been a Duck's Unlimited auction) in a small town in central Texas throwing frogs into air conditioning condensers when I was about ten or so. I loudly, loudly objected to what they were doing, and they started throwing the frogs at me. Poor frogs.

The boys in my neighborhood found a bunch of snake and were throwing them in front of cars. I was OK with that. Until they started throwing them on people. Then I freaked out. I hate snakes. The fewer the better.

I would seriously want to drag those kids, by their ears, to their parents, and point out to those parents that callous disregard for animal life is a typical trait of a serial killer.

You know what is disgusting about this story? The fact that people will pay money to capture a duck killer, but will completely fucking ignore when a human being is killed.

That's not true. When people who are as cute as ducklings are killed, it's the story of the century. See, e.g., Laci Peterson.

I never understood the killing animals thing. WTF kind of kick could that provide. I understand hunting and why it has to be done, but I can’t even do that. Unless it was attacking me, I don’t think I could kill any animal. Humans, on the other hand...

Oh, If you're a Jesusland bimbo killed in the Carribean, people will pay lots of money to capture your killer.

Laci Peterson was not cute. That story only had legs because her husband was considered cute.

And then you'll hear the following from the parent:

"Leave muh boys alone. And mind yourself not to be bothering me whilst I'm watching muh stories!"

Three days later you'll be sued for emotional distress and hearing damage by the Law Offices of Chuck Flecher, Counselor and Proctor of Admiralty.*

* Pending administrative suspension proceedings.
