I had the pleasure of cooking for him once. He made a point of coming into the kitchen to shake my hand, and to tell my staff what a nice job they had done. He's a class act, in addition to being able to cook. And his show, pure genius.

I really want the new "whiff" to be either P-O-L-Y-U-R-E-T-H-A-N-E or John Stamos. I suspect this will not catch on. This will not dissuade me.
And I really hope I am inducted into the hall of fame.

On the contrary, my cardiologist has advised me to concentrate as much effort as I can afford on winning, given that it's the only way I'll ever leave the workforce upright.
But I'll always have that tape of you and the mule.

Funny to see it mentioned a few times on the board today, since I'm here on vacation right now. I haven't seen the anti-porn billboard Hank linked to (though I'll keep my eyes open, and post a better pic if I come across it), but Footloose is playing at the local buck as a midnight movie. Come on over, bnb!

(a) duh and (b) I actually wrote most of the post this morning, when no one was posting, but then got sucked into something outside of my office. But I'd already written most of it, so I finished the last couple sentences and posted. I probably wouldn't have bothered if people'd been posting.
and ncs, you are dirty.

That reminds me of what I always wanted to do with a fat lottery win - buy the biggest gun I can aim steadily and shoot Bobby.

There are stinky people in Houston. I have smelled them. It's a sweaty city.

Which one is the Louisiana-y one?
FWIW, I do not like Au Bon Pain's coffee it is so not good, and I've tried, over and over. Whole Food's coffee bar is not bad in a pinch...

Actually, you apologized for *sounding* that way. There's a difference between apologizing for *sounding* like you thought that race = class (which would have been appropriate if your message did not accurately represent what you were thinking, i.e., you drafted it poorly), and apologizing that you unintentionally equated race with class (which seems to have been what actually happened).
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but seriously - if you consciously recognize that you have some unconscious (subconscious?) racist thought patterns (and honestly, it's hard not to have developed some in American culture), it can help you be more alert to those thought patterns in the future.

Because I am helpful to newbers (and even, in the event this is the case, to people pretending to be newbers), I want you to know that when using the hopelessly outdated fake-HTML-codes-schtick for humorous effect, you need to start with the opening code. Then, when you finish with the end code, the slash already means that the code is ending, so it is redundant to also put in the word "end." See the following example:
[soapbox mode] Patentpara is a racist. [/soapbox mode]
These types of lapses of mental discipline are going to get you booted from Not Bob's crush list faster than you can say "blond dtb."

But baby, we had The Wedge! Remember? Spinning little hippy-chicks. And smoothies of which I had a Jamba smoothie at lunch.

Apropos of nothing, is it "blond" or "blonde"?
