Yes and my people have been here too long.

You can buy your way into Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and the UK. All expensive as fuck. Bout the only one I can afford is Thailand.

I think the better move is to just go on a visitor visa and never leave. Worked for a friend.

Why not just do it the old fashioned way, and marry in? I'm sure your wife won't mind, she can do it too.

A 500K Euro investment in real estate gets you the golden visa in Spain. Hard to find a house for that around here...

For me it depends on whether my great-grandfather became a naturalized US citizen before my grandfather was born.

But the fucking law does not care about grandmothers. Your grandfather must still have been an Italian citizen when parent born. And he came here in 1922 to make $$$ so he could send for gma. And the law was still friendly to Italians. He basically stepped off the boat and renounced his Italian citizenship to become American (sad face). Mommy born in 1935 to an American father.
I think I read that they are now allowing it to flow through a grandmother, but you have to file your claim in an Italian court instead of doing it the typical way.

My attorney friend who is doing it went with Portugal, which I think is the cheapest in the Schengen region.

When I looked, Australia was around 700k US in any area but Sydney but they may have shut that angle down.

ETA Also looks like 500k Euros investment unless you buy a wreck.

No, that's why when you fly over for a vacation you bring the dowry.

Plus, since Less has full EU citizenship I’m suspicious of his motives to get us to invest bongo bucks for some lesser status.
