Speaking of ROD (Return On Drinks), I had a beer at lunch.
Nothing. Just a worthless drink. Now all I want to do is drink 15 more.

Ruined it for me.

How did your friend get you into the bar when you were only 10?
ETA Damn you, Spookyfish!!!

You know you've hit rock-bottom, when you start calling Aunt Jemima a "date".

12? Shirley you jest. Thats more than a 1/5th.
I decided after returning from vacation to see what would happen if I didn't drink at all for a while, even on weekends. Its been two weeks now and I still have not gotten that bump in lucidity people claim occurs. Its been an interesting experiment so far, but whats this health difference all these assholes preach about? I feel no difference at all.
I have learned one thing - having a few beers is pointless. Now that I've had extended abstinence against which to guage the feeling I'd get if I had that one solid drink/big glass of wine or couple beers I might have on any given night, I realize that I wasn't getting any buzz at all from that half-assed occasional workweek drinking.
My early new years resolution is to concentrate on more social occasion binge drinking and give up the occasional beer or drink during the week.

It's not an infallible resource, but when you're looking for info on music you're not really familiar with, the All Music Guide is a good place to look. Hardcore fans will always find ways to nitpick the ratings of albums in the "Discography" section, but as a general rule, if you pick out the highest-rated album for a given artist, you're going to at least be in the ballpark of getting their best stuff.

Pfft. I was 23. I'm short.
But don't worry, I've gained a lot of weight since then.
I kinda miss that guy (the one who bought me all the scotch).

Don't ruin this for me. I've been telling people for years that a couple glasses of wine every day has huge health benefits. If you screw this up for me, I'll have to kill you.

I had a bartender buy my 12 slammers one night. I slept on someone's bathroom floor that night. When I told him that I hadn't had dinner, he gave me a jalapeno from a jar on the bar. I sort of remember throwing up the jalapeno at one point early in the morning. That guy was an asshole - you're better off without him.

No no, he was nice. We had worked together (he got a better job) and we were friends. I don't think he realized quite how drunk I would get.
A couple glasses of wine every night is probably better for you than binge drinking on social occasions.

Just keep carrying this torch for me. I can't do it all by myself.
Besides, binge drinking on social occasions has done nothing but embarrass me and cost me a lot of money - I think I actually gave a valet a $20 tip after one "awards ceremony" festivity thing. Or maybe it was a gwfgwf. It's pretty fuzzy.

Ah, misty water-colored memories.
I miss you too, cucpake. You had me at "I said MACALLAN, you idiot!" Sigh.
At least we'll always have Nacogdoches.
