On a related note, did you all know that the student center at McGill University (an otherwise respectable institution) is called the William Shatner University Centre? Not because he gave any money or anything. Just because he went to school there. They're proud of it.
The William Shatner episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast is one of the best 11 minutes of television on my Tivo.

How come no one's bribing me? Unlike Paigow, I'd go away if y'all offered me enough.

ignore list function has done away with the need for bribes? just a guess.

They don't have the "I was saving a life and you complain about sitting in my waiting room for 4 1/2 hours" schtick (which, frankly, doctors are rarely justified in using), but it is a difficulty of the job, and probably hard to handle for people whose work skills generally lie in something other than their tight logistical & organizational abilities.

Nevertheless, I think the "call people back, show up when you say you will and do your work on time" campaign is of vital importance, even as much as timely eBay feedback.
Not in their defense, estimate appointments shouldn't be scheduled during working hours. My BF schedules them first thing in the morning, at lunch, after 6:30 or weekends so that he is never late for an estimate. I think that's why he is a good closer. And the last time my doctor left me in his waiting room for 3 1/2 hours ( I HATE OTRTHOPODS) because his golf game ran over (literally) I told him that if he ever did it again, I would chop of his surgeons' hands and he's never left me waiting again....

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

how did I incur your wrath such that you are now attributing Sunny Bunny quotes to me? I've never threatened to take away any sort of T&A magazine from anyone.

d'oh!!!!

Sorry - I type fast so doing a double-quote it was easier just to type in the first quotee. And when I scrolled down to see who it was I saw (a different) post from you.

It's been edited. Profuse apologies and such.

Sigh. Another post blown.

Consider it sent!

(Seriously, I was going to pile on, but I know how everyone hates the "good job" posts, so I refrained.)
