You sound pissed that they didn't pick you.

Fortunately, they will apparently have unfrozen caveman center fielder for a while, so they'll still be entertaining.
Unfortunately, Johnson will never pitch for the Brewers (as one example), since he has a no-trade clause. And they probably won't give him that extension he's looking for. And they suck.
I was surprised to see how ESPN.com backed off the whole it's-a-done-deal thing, especially after how big a deal they made of it being pretty much a lock on SportsCenter last night.

Pedro is cashed. He'll go to the HOF -- during his prime he was Koufaxesque. The HOF Pedro is dead. What's left is a solid #2.

I was thinking about applying, so then I would be pissed that I didn't make it. Do they give you a per-diem or anything or at least pay you scale? How do these people survive and pay their rents and mortgages and things like that while they're gallivanting around for up to 15 weeks? And how do these "successful" people take all that the time off from their jobs?
Where is str8 when we need him? Does the filming really last 15 weeks? I imagine not, since they wouldn't be sitting around for a week between tasks. Maybe a four day task cycle for a total of two months or so? Or do they take weekends off?
Will the loser just stroll back to his or her old job now, or does this give you more opportunities?

Name origins
I just saw the South Park episode that bears the same title as your screen name. I didn't realize that "spookyfish" was a South Park reference until last night. Kudos. It was a good episode.

Thiis is a very gtired response. You post here, you're part of the community, you do care about people getting your point, otherwise you wouldn't post. That's obvious. Your response just means you don't want to bother responding. Which is also "fine."
But you, in this anonymous internet forum, come across like a pompous misogynistic blowhard, for the record. (And I know, I come across like a bitch. That's fine. I don't care if you don't care or if you don't get my point.)

You would be more tolerable if Freddie Ljungberg was your avatar. Just a suggestion.

Varitek is the most important signing. They need Papi and Manny. Hopefully they can spend some of the Pedro money and keep those three. My first thought when Pedro went to the mets? Good, more money to sign Tek. It will be interesting to see what happens with Millar, Cabrera, Roberts, Pokey and Mankwczkevitch (?).
Last night WEEI, the Red Sox station, re-broadcast Game 7 of the ALCS. Yes, the whole game, with commercials. I listened while driving around doing errands. It provided a break from the bad Christmas music that is all over the radio these days.

As a matter of fact, you do.

You'd be crazy to sign Varitek to a five-year contract (which is what he wants and what he will get). He's 32 and he ain't Pudge. Offer him more per year for two years and an option on a third. But you don't want to be tied down with an aging catcher and a huge contract. Yeah, he's a leader and I think Boston shouldn't let him go. But what happens when he falls apart (common for catchers at this age)? Designated hitter?

Aha. So you believe there's only one. Interesting.
