I recently picked up a copy of Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections. A snippet from a reviewer on the rear cover recommended, "Just read the first paragraph." I followed this advice and found it to be a terrific time saver. I am planning to use this technique on future books. The downside is if you're traveling, you will need to bring several books to get you through the holiday, and books are heavy and take up a lot of space. I recommend booze, and lots of it to get you through.

Colder than Sugarloaf from December - February? That is cold!

Yeah, I know I'm boring, but I don't give a shit. How can you expect to be on the first chair in the morning if you'r epartying all night?!?

Re: the 4 peaks, stay away from Keystone (yawn). The Outback isn't bad, but hardly worth the multiple lift rides to get out there. If the snow is that good I'll stay at Breck or head over to A-Basin.

Different... Sugarloaf actually gets enough sun and warmth during the day so that the snow melts a bit, and then freezes overnight, necessitating "skiing" the next morning on ice chunks the groomers call snow.
Big Sky gets so cold your bones ache. And you have no idea if the snow on the mountain is frozen, because it's blowing sideways and you're not going outside anyway.

I can only give you info based on feedback from a guy who has been to many ski resorts and his report was that it was the coldest place he had ever skiied. So cold that they had to come in early. Remember, it's a Rocky.

I wish I had read only the first paragraph of The Corrections.

As long as it's not Rocky IV, sweeet!

If I could choose to go to any ski resort in North America, I would choose Whistler or Jackson Hole. I've never been to either, but WB has 5000 vertical feet + nightlife, which means it's apparently a combination of Vail and Aspen.
|
I have never gone skiing in this great country, so can only speak to Canadian places. Whistler is lots of fun, good skiing plus good partying (party on, Wayne). Banff/Sunshine is good skiing too, also good nightlife in Banff. Very cold - WB is not so cold. I have been to Revelstoke but not for skiing. The mountains are quite sheer there, so I imagine the skiing is difficult - if you like that kind of thing.

You are insane, drunk or both.
She is beautiful. She definitely had work done, but it compliments her beauty. It doesn't take it over ( that is Pamela Anderson syndrome).
She looks unique and exotic to me. But I don't know what your definition of "exotic" is. She looks like a mix of European, Latino and Asian to me. Just because you see her on tv a lot doesn't make her any less exotic.

So the dick hanging between her legs doesn't phase you? Such an open attitude is refreshing.

Similarly, a guy in Los Angeles took a joy-ride on the beach on Sunday night, and realized at some point that his SUV was drifting out to sea. The amazing part of the story is that the guy was royally pissed off that the fire dept. didn't do enough to save his floating car during the night (after a few attempts, they decided it was too dangerous and they'd wait until sun-up) and was blaming the fire dept. that his SUV was a total loss, despite the fact that he PAYS THEIR SALARIES with HIS TAX DOLLARS.
Douchebag of the month here in LA.
