If you're done for the night, you should really think about leaving and getting a drink rather than hanging around to post this kind of public service announcement. Phoning it in, indeed.

Anyway - good news for you....CBS's "Everybody Loves Raymond" ends its nine-year run.
Television's most popular sitcom will end its nine-year run on May 16 with — get this — a half-hour show, CBS said Tuesday.

"The reason we're stopping is that we've done every single thing that we can think of," Rosenthal said. "We are bone dry."

Actually, they were bone dry about 5 years ago. Still, I can't believe that show's been on for 9 years.
Thank you for taht Everyone Loves Raymond update. I had heard this over and over again like a year ago when Friends was taking its bow but I forgot bc I dont watch this show. Thanks for bringing it to our collective attention. I saw it on a lot of people's Tivo lists here. Second only in popularity to Arrested Development.

Anyhoo, lets hope this sparks a discussion about CBS sitcoms that will drwon out the new baby responsibility thread.

Never mind -- I don't want to know.

Golf is a social game. You kind of need a foursome.

If I'm invited to a golf outing, even if I don't play, I like to show up for the 19th hole.

A little context would be helpful. Pictures, links, a cunning analysis perhaps.

Because I've never been with anything like that before. So, if you have the opportunity to bounce around on those things, you owe it to me to take it. Why don't you just accept your responsibilities?

Be a Rock Star

Your chance to be a lead singer with INXS

Because Mark Burnett can't help himself.

Sometimes in life, you get one shot to prove you have real talent. That chance is about to happen to anyone willing to prove they have what it takes to be a ROCK STAR.

We invite all willing singer-songwriter-rockers to try out to be the next lead singer of internationally acclaimed and successful rock group INXS. This competition will eventually unfold before a national television audience. The first step to be in the competition begins here and now.

IF you are a singer-songwriter with a passion for rock and roll music, WE WANT YOU.
IF you have ever had a dream of performing on stage with a world-class band, WE WANT YOU.
IF you know you are the best, but never had a real chance of proving it, WE WANT YOU.

1. Atlanta, GA - Jan 20th
7. Toronto, Canada - Feb 4th
13. Seattle, WA - Feb 19th
2. Orlando, FL - Jan 22nd
8. Chicago, IL - Feb 6th
14. Los Angeles, CA - Feb 25th
3. Charlotte, NC - Jan 25th
9. Boston, MA - Feb 9th
15. London, England - Feb 8th
4. Nashville, TN - Jan 27th
10. Omaha, NE - Feb 11th
16. Liverpool, England - Feb 10th
5. New York City, NY - Jan 30th
11. New Orleans, LA - Feb 14th 1
7. Auckland, New Zealand - March 1st
6. Minneapolis, MN - Feb 1st
12. Austin, TX - Feb 16th
18. Sydney, Australia - March 5th

I won't fix the numbering - tryouts should be a hoot though. There are as many people who think they're rock stars as people who think they can sing like Whitney.

I've never understood this. Just pull the fuck over. It's not like it would work in any of the cars I've ever had anyway, even the few that were automatic.

You can call if you want, but we've shut down our phone system to protest the inauguration.
