I think they are a playoff team without him (like they have been for the past several years) but they don't get back to the bowl without him. And they definitely lose by a lot more in the Superbowl had he not played.
For all the things you can say negative about him and his effect on a team, the guy is a stud.

As I remember being told back in my high school lacrosse days "There is no I in team."
TO's a great football player. He's even a good person compared to a lot of pro athletes... (no children out of wedlock, no trouble with the law, no steroids, etc.). But he's forgotten that it's a TEAM sport.
Do I want to see the Eagles back in the Superbowl? Hell, yeah. As you know, this year's Superbowl was one of the top ten days of my life. But I'm not sure that TO's as important to that goal as he seems to think he is. As I recall, the team that actually won the Superbowl last year (and the 2 years prior) did so without a star receiver. |
