In the past I've seen some limited sucess with having a first group of people telling the lonely needy person just how often they seem to be communicating compared to the norm. Then, have a second group ridicule each communication the lonely needy person does still make.

He remembered typewriting i think.

Shhhhh, back in the paper days I used to make super, secret safe sets so I could bail your ass out of situations like that.

I can't remember what gwfgwf means. I think half is "generic winter holiday" and that there are gifts involved . . .

And sometimes it means, "I don't feel like doing anything about that." And sometimes it means, "I have nothing else to say right now, but think that I should say something." And I am fucking sick and tired of trying to figure out what people actually mean when they say a phrase that, by itself, has no meaning.

I had one last night that involved many pints of Guinness.

Doesn't that count as food Ironweed?

Alas, ours will be non-alcoholic. Which is actually OK, b/c I have an appt afterwards for which I should not be tipsy.

I would never hit a subordinate. Only an equal or a superior.

Yes. Generic winter festive gathering with food. The origin is from the generic winter party which could not be a party since it is not really a celebration of any type. So it was a generic winter gathering. The additional festive was added to make it gwfgwf instead of just gwgwf - which is harder to say.

And it's origins came about because some of us are assholes and hate the people we work for.

POTY Question

Can a reply to PPNYC have a chance as POTY? I'm thinking they are more like Chris Farley films, perhaps funny, but lacking in the necessary gravitas for an annual award.
