Not enough sharp knives? Aversion to the idea of cutting someone opn? Did the Kansas woman just get lucky and it's not really that easy and the baby usually dies without the proper technique? What?

It's easy if you possess the commonsense, experience-based intelligence prevalent in rural Kansas.
Now please forgive me, I'm off to practice with my new band, Atticus Grinch and the Melvern Fetus Farmers.

Good read. It's not often you see THIS sentence bandied about, "By dint of his work in animal husbandry, Nufer also possessed a modicum of anatomical knowledge." [snicker] Animal husbandry [/snicker]

ETA: There is some ancient "no man born of woman" could kill something or another myth where the loophole turned out to be that the hero was born via cesarian.
Also, remember that medicine has been separated from childbirth until very recently. There were some barriers to the trade set up by the docs/barbers, who weren't too interested in women learning how easy it is to cut people open.

Thanks for the link and the info.

I'm also remembering that some asshole decided at some point that labor pains are women's just and fair punishment for Eve's tempting Adam, and cesarian sections cheated God out of getting his fair share of pennance from we tempting evil women. I trust, if there is a God, that the motherfucker is langushing in hell in labor for eternity.

It was Macbeth. His killer (MacDuff?) was born via caesarean.
Maybe it was MacGruff. I mix characters up sometimes.

MacDuff was his killer. I recently read a Cliff's Notes knock-off on MacBeth so that I could follow what was happening in another book, which seemed to think I would be familiar with the plot of MacBeth.

Whiff!
I was pretending to be a rube. I also like the image of MacGruff the Crime Dog in his trench coat, facing Macbeth on the field, explaining that he was from his mother's womb untimely ripped (I really did remember that without Google), and chopping off his head.

I have never fucked an Irish chick. Are they any good?

She's neither Irish nor Catholic.

I at least get to see them flame out magnificently on my end. I wallow in very little schaedenfreude, but when it comes to that breed of vacant douchebag, I find myself snickering when I see his bkcy schedules.
