You should have probably put a baltassoc warning in there. Some of those Santas are almost clownlike. I wonder if there's any correlation between these freaked out kids and a later fear of clowns.

Dear MR,
Thank you for the lovely generic winter message that pops up when I post. It makes me feel so festive.

Where do the rest of you find trannies?
Depends on how concern you are about your transitionally gendered friends being able to frame a load-bearing wall or put up sheetrock.

While RT's choice is certainly a good one, one of the most reliable sources nationwide seems to be the back of hte local weekly alternative paper.

Christmas sucks

OK, this is almost as bad as the Barbie McDonalds playhouse or whatever you call it. A fast food restaurant for kids. This ATM machine is a right-wing conspiracy to get the kids thinking that it's all about the money, and money is free to spend as long as you have the "machine."

Tweens and beyond can insert the supplied ATM card into the silver machine, punch in their PIN, be greeted by name on the electronic display, peer into the pretend security camera and wait for that seminal capitalistic moment -- when crisp bills miraculously appear, ripe for the plucking.

The concept is so seductive that the Youniverse ATM is sold out all across the land. About 10,000 flew out of Toys R Us in four days. When the machine made its debut on QVC and the Home Shopping Network, it sold out in three minutes. On eBay, that cyber exemplar of supply and demand, the machine, with its tiny logos mimicking Visa, MasterCard and American Express, is selling for more than $70.

[OK - nevermind -- it seems you can't post pictures that aren't saved on a website -- and that's beyond my skillz.]
I have had much success with renting cars from Hotwire -- the first time I tried them, the comparable rate from travelocity and the rental company's website was more than double what I paid.

The disadvantage of Hotwire is that you don't know what company you'll end up renting from, so you don't know exactly what kind of car you will get. (FWIW, it has been Hertz 75% of the time for me. And it has never been anything but one of the big 3 or 4 companies.) You also have to pay in advance, and once a clerk at an Avis counter made a snide comment to me when I confessed that I was not a member of the Avis Frequent Schmucks Club, or whatever.

I have never had a problem with them, and only once was the Hotwire rate not significantly cheaper than the travelocity, etc., rate. That includes flying into places like JFK, Atlanta, and Philly, as well as into small towns too outable to mention. Check the rates as you normally would first, and then go to Hotwire.

More Old Man Sex

I get the whole professor-student thing, and that pretty girls fall for well-known, smart older men. But, come on -- a Nobel-Prize Winning (shared prize even!) 82 year old Chinese man? Is it too late to change our Death Pool Picks? Ten bucks says he doesn't survive the wedding night.

Not to crib from Dickens or anything, but...

1) All of the old skoolers already suffered through the Paigow of Christmas past:

2) Then -after the 12 step program, the New Orleans folks suffered through the The Paigow of Christmas Present:

3) And now, thanks to a bunch of socks, we have the return of a pseudo Janis Joplin (i.e., an ugly old junkie near her death bed, but without any talent)

To quote Cindy Lou Who:

"Gee Stupid Bitch, Why?
Why Did you come back here?
Why?"
Wow, a whole bevy of Slave Inside Jokes of theDay that Aren't Really All that Inside.

Word from the Wise- the Consigliere has no hair. Prepare to reasssess your allies and enemigos, Mental Midget, bc exile is not far away.

And if I am so stupid, and you are so smart, why is it that I always so successfully push your buttons? How many bottles have I driven you to drink, my dear? Wish your liver a fond farewell for me as I understand it has now shrunken to the point where that lone hair behind your knee that you keep missing is now serves more of a purpose. A lone white flag waving in the wind of Slave's past glories, brief as they were, and bookmarked by free rides on the oldskool backs of Plate and Cornholio Esquire. I didn';t know SParks allowed people in who arrived post Yahoo but I guess its who you are with, not what you have done. And once upon a time, you were with me. And that made you who you are. In one hundred years. when the FB is run by the Baggettes, the NotBobbinos and RP's adopted childen, someone will post 'Who was Slave?" and the answer, after a long board kill moment, will be "Oh, that guy who gave Paigow a full body razor burn". That is your legacy. At least you are memorable for something. You are welcome.
