Is anyone under 30?

I guess that means that the system has given me a Brazillian, as Mrs. dL is, in fact, expecting.

good advice. Spot on. The beers are a toonie a pop and no cover, so there will be lots of tipping.

Generally in Canada I try to respect the local customs and not be a loudmouthed american type, boc I am an honourary citizen of the town in question, so i should be okay.

This, though, is even funnier:

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

I am amused by the use of the word "many", given that I thought Not Bob and I were the only two who knew this song. To find there is literature critiquing it is even more troubling. Was this an American Studies Thesis at some third tier school?

I don't know how you have managed to avoid it thus far.

Why would you think you and NotBob were the only ones who knew this song?

Shit, I am going to have to watch this again. I didnt catch where one of the boys was gay. But I would guess it was Anthony. He was cuter and niceer.

I would say Claire had no kids based on her photo collection, (though there was a pic of some guy I didnt recognize), the fact that she wed at at leat 42 (don't see her as a mantrapper), and that she lived to 102. What happened to Ted?
I think it was Anthony, because it showed Durrell learning from David about being a mortician in the montage, and then later at Ruth's funeral, has one of the boys (I think) standing with David sort of in the role as funeral director, which I suppose was meant to indicate that Durrell went into the family business.

What confused me was the showing of (who I guess is) Anthony at Ruth's funeral next to Keith -- who didn't look any older.

btw, I cried all the way from the whole "To Nate" thing until the end. And I loved when Claire took the picture of everyone on the porch and Nate told her "You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone." Best series finale ever.
I didn't get that (Nate's whisper to Claire). It was a fantastic finale. I am still thinking about it days later. The ending montage was so well done, and such a good idea.

fyi, it is bar none the #1 top worldwide most favorite song of drag queens. I am surprised you did not realize its popularity.

Okay. So this coming weekend, I may or may not be involved in certain traditional festivities involving a friend of mine from law school, which may or may not involve me getting up in front of a group of people who may or may not be drunk and speaking about/giving best wishes to said friend and said friend's significant other. Did I mention that the group of people of whom I am speaking may or may not be friends or relatives of my friend and said friend's significant other? Did I also mention that I don't actually know many of these people besides said friend and said friend's significant other?

I am a little rusty in terms of what makes a good speech/best wishes message for such an event, and I'm interested in hearing any suggestions about how this might be as meaningful/painless for everybody as possible.

Did I also mention that I may or may not be drunk by then and I am trying to avoid any catastrophes of Costanzian proportions?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Avoid any mention of having fucked the bride if at all possible. Other than that, I am reminded of the old saying about what makes for a great sermon: Strong beginning, strong finish, as few words as possible in between.
