On that I agree. CT is prole free. Just ask Paigow.

I personally would not have waited, but history evidence that Roosevelts lies held us back from being close enough to the commies to do battle with them until 45.

When do you think we should have gone to war against the USSR?

funny. most real wine lovers look at the sub-$20 range that you and Penske infest as the prole market.

Please Define "Civil War"

AP story -- Pentagon reports that sectarian violence in Iraq is spreading beyond Baghdad (to Kirkuk and Basra, among other places), and conditions for civil war are in place.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060901/...t_pe/us_iraq_1

but, not a civil war yet.

Is there an operative definition of "civil war"? How will we know when there is one, or when one has been really avoided?

Not trying to be a dick, but who cares? Its semantics. Maybe it is one maybe its not. but its a quasi-faux-semi-civil war. Eitherwhichway, under CinC freedom loving leadership we are there and staying the course. Until the mission is accomplished.

I am down with that, as I knew this was a 5-10 project, and I support President McCain in this front of the war effourt through at least 2013.

I think Donald Rumsfeld said in his speech the other day that he won't consider it a civil war until they're wearing blue and gray and fighting in Manassas.

The plan being that we'll draw down our troops as the Iraqi population shrinks?

Why do Muslims hate other Muslims so much? Aren't they "the
religion of peace"?

Oh, the white folks hate the black folks,
And the black folks hate the white folks.
To hate all but the right folks
Is an old established rule.

But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
Lena Horne and Sheriff Clarke are dancing cheek to cheek.
It's fun to eulogize
The people you despise,
As long as you don't let 'em in your school.

Oh, the poor folks hate the rich folks,
And the rich folks hate the poor folks.
All of my folks hate all of your folks,
It's American as apple pie.

But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
New Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans 'cause it's very chic.
Step up and shake the hand
Of someone you can't stand.
You can tolerate him if you try.

Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics,
And the Catholics hate the Protestants,
And the Hindus hate the Moslems,
And everybody hates the Jews.

But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
It's National Everyone-smile-at-one-another-hood Week.
Be nice to people who
Are inferior to you.
It's only for a week, so have no fear.
Be grateful that it doesn't last all year!

I think even the Bush crowd would admit that a civil war was an indication of failure.
