Ty feels that Penske and I are beneath him, and you seemed gone. I was just pointing out that Ty was thus posting to slave and only slave, and until you returned, as is the rule for private convos, Ty should be using the PM function.

This guy is smart...
Newt was always the smart one.
I'll definitely grant him 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
And I've arguing in favor of 1 and 4 for years.

I sped read it, but regardless, I am in favour of every one of those points. The God in the pledge thing is not that big to me, but it is a nice a fuck you to the secular humanist crowd, and even Rev. BillyBubba Clinton would support it, I am sure.
Speaking of which, that link gave me a nice pop up, npi, to right wing Cover Girl Hottie, Annie Coulter, and a quote from her new book, Godless: the Church of Liberalism...
"Listening to liberals invoke the sanctity of 'science'...creates the same uneasy feeling as listening to Bill Clinton cite scripture."
Word is borne!

2. I have a suspicion that if Bill could meet any figure from the bible it wouldn't be our Lord, or Noah, or the Virgin- I'm fairly sure it would be one of the prostitutes. Sad. did you know he was a Rhodes scholar?

Ahhh, got it. Is that a good thing? So on Ty's list I am above both you and Penske. Where do I fall via Slave?

you don't want to "fall via Slave." from what i hear people who fall via Slave tend to land on the face with their buttocks thrust upwardly.
If you mean where do you fall vis a vis slave, I would say Ty thinks you're not quite as smart because you didn't read the book he told you to, and apparently Slave did.

I don't like the the pledge change but it is good politics, however, the death tax confuses me. I can't believe that support for revoking it is that high. I think it is bad policy, but I would also think that it would be bad politics but Newt seems to think it is good politics.
Go figure.

I think it would be good politics and policy. It is immoral to tax death. Death is between you and your creator. Period.

Ty (read this-WINE REFERENCES)
So.......
Anyhoo.....
I am going to a cocktail party, iyw, tonight. Mostly liberal arts types, patrons of the arts, prfoessional board members, retired tech billionaires, but all very liberal. Gates may be there, I am sure he's invited. Typical upscale Seattle liberal faux-intellectually elitist salon type of event.
I am imagining, based on past history, there will be some typical CA boxed wine, like Harlan Estate, some Hietz Cellars Reserve Cab, maybe '97, maybe a couple of vintages of Screaming Eagle.
And more importantly, good stuff from the PacNW, Ken Wright Cellars Pinot, maybe some Patricia Greene, some Leonetti, Andrew Will Sorella. Delille?
Anyhoo, if politics comes up, how do I keep from putting my foot in my mouth and getting kicked out before I can maximise my wine consumption?!?!!?!?!
