That he ordered the torture of an insane low-level Al Qaeda functionary in the hopes that the guy would cough up something justifying what Bush had already said about him.
How about just about torturing him?
All you guys are pretty much OK with saying that torturing Al Qaeda is fine. They have it coming, we get intelligence, etc. So why is Bush such a pansy about it? Strong leadership is not having your cake and eating it too. So much for the courage of his convictions.

at my last biglaw firm, the person in charge of travel; she knew the names of who was travelling. Ty. wouldn't the "al queda travel agent" likely know lots of names too? wouldn't we like to know that? You guys are fucking pathetic. how can you read this shit w/o realizing how stupid it is? at least Penske knows his moronic shit is dumb.

I find it amazing that anyone would assume that this report is accurate. If Bush ever did order them to torture someone, which I really doubt, he certainly wouldn't say it in a way that it could ever leak.
I am sure the decisions about interrogations never make it to the Commander in Chief. It’s called plausible deniability.
If they are going to make up stories about what is being said at the White House, at least they could come up with some that are at least a little bit realistic.
The plot line of a James Bond film is more believable than this concocted fantasy.

Is this the first time this abbreviation has been used? Is so, Slave, you should claim it quick before Penske takes credit for it.

You agree, then, that if the book is well reported, it's pretty damning.
Who knew the Wall St Journal trained such inventive writers?

It's not that you've killed the board Ty. everyone is now reading the book so we can converse intelligently on its revelations. I'm just starting Chapter 3.

It looks like on the website you directed us to that a "foxy hedgehog" is calling Suskind the liar. I find this hedgehog convincing. Could you, can you rebut?
