Censorship of that marketplace is what Hank (and to a lesser extent me) find so troubling.

All that suggests to me is that you prefer a place where you can fuck with people without getting caught because there are more people to hide among and they don't know you as well.

wasn't the intentionally not serious post a big part of why people are here? I was a lurker at infirm, but weren't the "dog of love", the Juan the marine stuff, the aztec dancing goofs, all a ton of fun? so Penske or I do the odd goof post and that's bad? I try sometimes to be serious, but also try and add a funny twist at the end- is that wrong? But as far as "engaging in conversation" as dictated, sorry, no. it seems pointless.
I am capable of being a productive poster- ask yourself why I can't be one here- or don't; and go enjoy what this forum has become.

I'm through rising to this sort of thing, Hank.

And with that you reengage the politics of personal destruction. Nice.
No, dimfuck, what it means that we had an open forum, which by the nature of its openness attracted a lively spectrum of interest. Go take a look, on a give day it gets three times the distinctive posters this place gets in a month, because it doesn't have a whole broouhaha of nannyboo sensitive sallies pissing their pants about alternative viewpoints. It also bridges more gaps.

The fact that we are both able to post at DU and I was a longtime communitarian at hillary.org, before they closed the forums, should speak to our abilities to change gears and bridge the gaps.

How about the NY Board? Is there still rousing discussion of Quarterly Bonii?

Maybe that's where we differ. You see, I know you. I'm interested in what you have to say and I want to be responded to by the person I know. I don't want to deal with every new name as a potential sock. I resent it and I find it dishonest.

Plated was prescient when he declared it the only board that really matters. It's like a cockroach, the only survivour of the nuking of the GA movement.
I think they are discussing the partner at Dewey who made the chinese food/dog joke.

My point is, I didn't find the other board enjoyable/amusing and didn't participate.

Tough. Neither Plated nor I intended it to be for your amusement. We had a broader audience to worry about.

I had a female poster there. Mary Jo Jo White. Pulled Bilmoure's chain like no one's business. Feminist Clintonite.
