Frank: Used his position to obtain favors for an apparently romantic companion, who also happened to be running a brothel from Frank's house. Reelected.
Yes. But initially Sidd said,
  • "If I liked nubile boys, I could be a Republican!"

To which you responded:
  • "Gerry Studds invented that. Barney Frank perfected it."

My only point: Barney Frank wasn't involved with nubile boys.

True. So far as we know.

We have no more reason to think that he has an unhealthy interest in youngsters than we do with you or Condi Rice.

Actually, from postings here, I've got more suspicions about Burger and Rice than Frank.

But no real need to defend Barney. His district will keep electing him as long as he runs.

Barney Frank is doughy and lacking in any political power. that would limit how many hot guys over 18 he might attract. he might need to go after young/impressionable.

Burger and Condi are both hot, and condi is way juiced politically- she could get hot guys over 18 no problem. Why did you pick her Ty? I think Burger likes girls, and DC is a bachelor's paradise so he wouldn't need to take the underage.

No. on balance just from available options, Frank is the most likely.

how come you mentioned Condi? that's weird.

It would have given some balance to your post if you had mentioned a presumed lesbo, you know someone who doesn't appear to have sex with a man for a few decades- say Hillary.

Hillary has chelsea to prove it.

I'm not sure Ty why you think I'm accusing Frank of pederastry. I'm not, and haven't. As i explained, he used his office improperly presumably for sexual gain.

As for nubile youth, even TM is checking out the underaged chiquitas over on the FB. Only Sidd has a problem with that.

That's a strong defense.

I thought the "that" in your post quoted here referred to liking nubile boys, not improper use of the office for presumptive sexual gain. If I misunderstood, I stand corrected.

About the posters' commitment to their beliefs? Sure.

How many times do I have to say "I'm not defending him" before you read it?* What I'm still trying to figure out is why you're going after someone with such dudgeon when politicians (in your party, no less) have engaged in comparable yet more reprehensible conduct with narry a comparative word from you. Foley has resigned, which is more than several democrats embroiled in sex scandals involving actual sex, sometimes with actual minors, have done. So: why are you elevating attempt to commit a crime above the actual commission of that crime?

I think the hypocricy in this one elevates it above the typical DC sex scandal.

I'm so utterly disgusted. And if the leadership knew about the IMs then they should all resign too (and probably be prosecuted).

And what's worse, is that this is now going to become a political debate. The DEMs should shut the fuck up and just let this one play out. But instead, what do they do? They call for investigations and go on every show to stir the pot. Fucking pathetic.

Hi Ty! Glad you're still up. Hey, how come you mentioned Condi Rice in that post?
