My team won, 6-5, last night.

Personally, when I was "child" of 16, I was in college pledging a fraternity and banging "adult" women aged 18 or so.

By your logic - Studds was fucking children. And this deserved nothing more than a censure?

As for other incidents, I already mentioned McGreevey, Clinton.

I'd go google a few hundred more, but my team - unlike yours and Ty's is actually in the playoffs and I have more important things to do right now.
Well now I 'm confused. I thought there were two choices:

A) Foley broke the law and the Ds knew about it but sat on it for political reasons thus endangering Foley's potential victims; or

B) Foley didn't break a law so what the Ds knew and when is irrelevant because this is all just a personal matter between consenting adults.

You seem to have created a new choice:

C) Foley didn't break the law and the Ds are bastards for sitting on this knowledge of how he didn't break the law or endanger anyone.

Breaking Foley News - From Drudge

  • According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats. This source, an ally of Edmund, also adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund.

The news come on the heels that former FBI Chief Louis Freeh has been named to investigate the mess.

Whatchutalkinbout, NotBob? that report seems totally credible in light of the actions other people involved have taken. Utterly consistent.

I choose to think club was making a funny by posting that.

So what's wrong with a little education in comparative religions? A Cali federal court said it was fine, right? They're pretty liberal and anti-religion, right?

My views are undoubtedly shaped by the fact that I went to private schools (Catholic), but I see no problem with it -- could do the same sort of stuff, theoretically, in a biblical history course (though that probably only works at a HS level).

I have to agree with you that the teacher was overreaching. On the other hand, nobody filed suit when I was in HS and our English teacher assigned the Sermon on the Mount as reading, either.

Yet possibly. I take your point that some focus groups may profess not to care, and maybe people generally don't.

Yet, the GOP's internal numbers are apparently bad, bad, bad if Denny don't take one for the team at this point.
  • WASHINGTON — House Republican candidates will suffer massive losses if House Speaker Dennis Hastert remains speaker until Election Day, according to internal polling data from a prominent GOP pollster, FOX News has learned.

"The data suggests Americans have bailed on the speaker," a Republican source briefed on the polling data told FOX News. "And the difference could be between a 20-seat loss and 50-seat loss."

Most GOP lawmakers have stood by Hastert, pending a full airing of the facts in his handling of the Mark Foley affair, in which the former Florida representative was caught exchanging salacious messages with teen pages in Congress. The new polling data, however, suggests that many voters already have made up their minds.

The GOP source told FOX News that the internal data had not been widely shared among Republican leaders, but as awareness of it spreads calculations about Hastert's tenure may change. The source described the pollster who did the survey as "authoritative," and said once the numbers are presented, it "could change the focus" on whether the speaker remains in power.

I'm with Ty at this point. Denny, don't take any of this shit from weak-kneed colleagues! This is the biggest non-scandal scandal that Slave's ever seen! Stay the course!

What did I do?

The Family Research Council today accused me of supporting the homosexual agenda, and stated that it is because of people like me that people like Mark Foley "worm" their way into the Republican party.

Can someone remind me again what the homosexual agenda is? Since I am promoting it, it would be nice to know what it is.

Were you arguing that Foley isn't a pederast again?
