Ty's knowledge of wine stops at the boxed varietals from CA. Posts like that really illustrate my point.

Truth be told, I didn't know there were "boxed varietals" until now. Everything I know about boxed wine, I've learned from Penske.

olive branch- econ topic

Discussion topic: How high could the bush economic plan have taken the Dow if Bush had the benefit of Clinton's contrived tech bubble?

Just win , baby!

So I am watching the WA Senate debate the other night, Can'tdowell and McGavick, and in response to a question about drilling for oil in ANWR, Demo Can'tdowell responded by saying,

"Unfortunately, God put the oil in places other than the US".

This raises a couple of issues,

1. The demos profess to be godless moral relativists and seek to remove god out from the public square, so why is she invoking God in the debate about oil drilling?

2. It seems that she is claiming God gave the Islamofacists all the oil and that there is a message there........is she saying that the one true God is Allah!?!? Are the dems really the party of Islamofacism? Her Senate colleague Patty Murray (the dumbest person in the Senate) has already voiced support of Osama bin Laden......

when will the kool-aid drunken rank and file demos out there realise that the DNC and its political leaders hate our way of life and hate America!?!?

Vote Republican if you love Freedom and the US of A!

Cite, please. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that Cantwell does not claim to be a godless moral relativist.

I think she is saying that God is Norwegian. Thor? Odin? Has Loki been messing with the McGavick campaign? His poll numbers kinda look that way.

Then she is in the wrong party. Does she know what the demos stand for?

The word is spelled with an "a," not an "n."

I have also noticed that in all of Can'tdowell's ads, there is always a scene where she is in front of an obviously fake backdrop portraying some outside scene. In order to lend more faux-credibility to this notion that she is outside, they obviously have a small fan being held slightly out of camera range such that her hair seems to be blowing, albeit in a very controlled manner, in the "wind".

Why do the Dems feel the need to present these fraudulent images to us? If they get me to think that Can'tdowell ventures outside, in a slight wind, no less, do they think that will make me more likely to vote for her?

this whole sharade reminds me of Hillary's claim that she was named after an obscure bee-keeper from New Zealand......when is she going to apologise for that canard Spanky??

I know this is "not letting go" but remember when Al Gore would jog down a block- get filmed, then jump in a car at the corner? I always felt he kept people from taking up running because they would see that Al was still so fat even with the "running every day."

Do the dems set out to do harm, or do they just keep making compromises until they wake up in this deep evil pit? Poll?

Educational policy, Republican-style.

  • Candidate seeks textbooks as shields

OKLAHOMA CITY --A candidate for state superintendent of schools said Thursday he wants thick used textbooks placed under every student's desk so they can use them for self-defense during school shootings.

"People might think it's kind of weird, crazy," said Republican Bill Crozier of Union City, a teacher and former Air Force security officer. "It is a practical thing; it's something you can do. It might be a way to deflect those bullets until police go there."

Crozier and a group of aides produced a 10-minute video Tuesday in which they shoot math, language and telephone books with a variety of weapons, including an AK-47 assault rifle and a 9mm pistol. The rifle bullet penetrated two books, including a calculus textbook, but the pistol bullet was stopped by a single book.

Extra goodness: The evolution stickers on the biology textbooks? Foil-based. Stops that assault weapon bullet cold.

The key is not his party, it is that he is a former Air Force security officer. Unit security officers tend to be a bit geeky and weird.

Looks Like China Put Her Foot Down

  • North Korean leader Kim Jong Il said Pyongyang didn't plan to carry out any more nuclear tests and expressed regret about the country's first-ever atomic detonation last week, a South Korean news agency reported Friday.
