"timmies will say that it wasn't a detective show" or "watching the detectives"

Don't even get me started on "BJ and the Bear."

Which call would that be? Because, as I saw it, it was the dumbest play resulting in a penalty I've seen in football history.

The Mike Renfro non-touchdown touchdown in the 1979 AFC Championship.

Teri Hatcher doesn't know either. She found the guns and cash and seemed curious enough until he started banging her brains out, which magically eradicated all of her curiousity.
When the grown daughter asked why he was spending so much time on Wisteria Lane, didn't the plumber say something to the effect of "this is the last place anyone saw ____________ alive?"

And you make the same point about Lois La...uh, Susan's sudden lack of curiousity as the chick who writes for Television Without Pity. Me, I would buy a plumber who likes to get paid in cash and who keeps a gun around the house. Maybe that's just because I have several cousins who fit that bill.

Now, the idea that Hot Mike is a plumber -- that I don't buy (again, based upon my extended family).

Jets did everything they could to lose that game, including that useless and stupid move. And when they made us re-take the field goal try I thought for sure we'd flub it and be done. Just unbelievable. How bad does the city of San Diego feel right now? Suckers.

You clearly know nothing about the genre (although nice work naming Houston).

They may have been brothers, but that was only because they were way too gay to get green-lighted if they were "partners." You gotta read between the gay lines.

PS - Here's Matt Houston. Are those suede pants?

I think everyone in the National Football League learned an important lesson about letting 12 year-olds try to kick field goals.

If so, then I would have lost my bet anyway. I'm not sure that makes me feel any better.

In other football news . . .

Celtic met Rangers in a Scottish cup tie yesterday morning. It was the usual refined affair. Here's one of the Rangers players (Alex Rae) after getting an extreme makeover from Aiden McGeady on a challenge for a 50/50 ball:

Celtic 2 - 1 Rangers. What a fine day it was. Sorry about the picture size - maybe Not Bob can trim it after he gets done looking for his suede pants.

2nd boringest day in fb history

Despite all the complaints of recent boringness, I just thought I'd let y'all know that, compared to the other blogs/MS boards I casually peruse, we do maintain a pretty high level of wit (comparatively speaking), even when we suck ass. So thanks for maintaining such high standards, folks.

Also, I saw Ju-On this weekend. It was actually a pretty scary, freaky movie, despite the fact that, typically of Japanese movies, I'm still not quite sure what it was about or what happened. Relatively little gore, but Fugee should not see it because she will have trouble getting to sleep.

I also rewatched Dawn of the Dead (the original). Pretty funny stuff. Alarmingly, I may be of the opinion that the remake was more subtle and thoughtful in its subtext. Question: why, in the '70s, did all black actors speak in that hilariously over-trained, pontificating style (men and women did it, but men especially)? Question 2: Was L. Fishburn consciously impersonating them in the Matrix movies?

I, OTOH, am considering abandoning lawtalkers for the Tucker Max Message board, primarily because of threads like Wacky Porn It is probably safe for work, just text.

A. This was Minnesota at Green Bay. Given that, this was restrained and tasteful. He kept his pants on, didn't he?

B. We were just happy to keep him on the field. It's not something we take for granted.

Board Time Zone

When I'm logged in, the board is on Eastern Time. When I'm not, it's on Atlantic Time (an hour later). What's up with that? Is it of because of daylight savings time? Or are we just showing respect for out Nova Scotian brethren?
